Pinecone Active Learning is a children’s learning center in San Jose, offering individualized writing, reading, math, grammar, and AI tutoring for children ages 3 through 8th grade. Sessions run twice weekly, with short daily practice at home.
Ability-based, not grade-based. A 1st grader may be starting fractions. A 5th grader may be reviewing times tables. Every Pinecone program starts where your student actually is, not where the report card says they should be. Vivian personally reviews each student’s work so no one gets stuck on the wrong material.
We serve families across Evergreen, Silver Creek, The Villages, Santa Teresa, and the broader East San Jose Aborn corridor. Most students who start with us in early elementary school stay for years as reading, grammar, math, and AI literacy join their program.

Choose one focus or combine subjects. Grammar overlaps naturally with reading and writing. Every program is paced to the individual student.
Children's Writing Tutor San Jose
One-on-one and small-group writing tutoring in San Jose for children ages 3 through 8th grade. Sentence construction, topic, supporting details, paragraphs, and revision, taught in a sequenced program paced to each student.
