Adventures in AI

Why AI literacy matters

Technology can assist with answers—but judgment, context, and ethics remain human work. Our Adventures in AI series introduces students to how models learn from data, where bias appears, and how to communicate clearly with tools without outsourcing thinking.

AI literacy helps children:

  • Understand what artificial intelligence is—and what it is not.
  • See how systems learn from patterns in data.
  • Practice prompts and revision with tools responsibly.
  • Explore the relationship between creativity and machine assistance.
  • Discuss safety, fairness, and real-world uses in science and medicine.

The program is structured as a six-session workshop for grades 3–4 (grouping may vary). We keep discussion concrete and age-appropriate: students should leave more curious, more careful, and more confident—not more dependent on a chat box.
